Privacy Policy for Momentum Mail
Last Updated: 26 July 2025
Welcome to Momentum Mail ("the Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in an open and transparent manner. This privacy policy explains what Google user data we access, the purpose of that access, and how we use, store, and share it.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
1. What Information We Access and Why
Momentum Mail uses Google's secure authentication (OAuth 2.0) to connect to your account. We only request the minimum permissions necessary for the app's core functionality. The data we access is what you explicitly provide consent for, which includes:
-
.../auth/userinfo.profile
and.../auth/userinfo.email
Purpose: To create and identify your Momentum Mail account. We use your name and email address to manage your login and display your information within the app.
-
.../auth/gmail.send
Purpose: This is the core function of our app. This permission is used to send emails **on your behalf** when you create and run a campaign. We do **not** use this permission to read, delete, or manage your emails in any other way. We only use your data to provide the services you have requested.
-
.../auth/drive.readonly
and.../auth/spreadsheets.readonly
Purpose: These read-only permissions are used to allow you to browse and select a Google Sheet from your Google Drive. We then use this permission to read the contact data (like emails and names) from the specific sheet and worksheet you choose for your campaign. We do **not** have permission to edit, delete, or create any files in your Google Drive.
2. How We Store and Protect Your Information
Your security is our priority. We have security procedures in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. Your Google authentication tokens (access and refresh tokens) are stored securely in our database using strong encryption. The contents of your Google Sheets are not permanently stored on our servers; they are read from the Google API only when a campaign is being processed.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not and will not sell, rent, or share your personal information or the contents of your contact lists with any third parties for purposes other than those outlined in this policy. We do not transfer or disclose your information to third parties for purposes such as advertising or marketing.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information, such as your name, email, and campaign history, for the length of time needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy, primarily for the functioning of your account. You can delete your Momentum Mail account and all associated data at any time by navigating to the "Settings" page within the application. Upon account deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed from our active databases.
You can also revoke Momentum Mail's access to your Google Account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
